We’ve separated this into three main categories: holiday fiction, holiday romance, and books set during the holidays but not about the holidays. But as the holiday fiction requests keep coming, I thought an easy-to-use, easy-to-reference reader-generated book list would be so helpful-and we’ve added even more titles to this year’s new list!Ī few notes. These past years I received numerous requests for holiday fiction recommendations for adults, ranging from “please no cheesy Hallmark stories” to “books set during this holiday but not specifically about it” to “give me all the holiday romance.” We put it up as a #WSIRNReaderRecs post and the responses flooded in. Readers, there’s nothing like a good long book list for the holidays, am I right? ![]()

![]() My favorite character was Sophie, because I think we get to see the most change in her, compared to the other girls. I mean, I know the list went away, but there was a new list with Rose Reed at the top or something. I really wanted to give this book 5 stars, but I was a little dissatisfied with the ending, because nothing really got resolved. Eve liked feeling Brody's attention, even though he wasn't the best of people. For example, feeling someone's attention, whether you like them or not, is a good feeling, to feel like you matter to someone. What the girls felt, though, was so freaking relatable, not just for me, but I'm sure for lots of other girls out there. I have never faced this, but I'm sure it happens to many people. No one should ever have to feel like this. No one should ever be dehumanized, like the girls in this book were, like they were just a number, or a body, instead of a real human, with a heart, a mind, and feelings. Sadly, this is a thing girls (and boys, but we're talking about girls here) face. It was kinda scary at times, how real it was. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The government rips them of their individuality, forcing them to wear identical uniforms (“unifs”) and harshly condemning all acts of personal expression. The readings may partly explain why “The Mystery of Edwin Drood” was never completed. These weren’t stuffy 92nd Street Y sorts of evenings but dramatic one-man shows in which Dickens acted out all the parts with such passion that by the end he would be physically and emotionally spent. Morning lethargy produced by the DFP was observed in 40% of the DFP group however, no other side effects were seen. The incidence of POD was 7/20 (35.0%) in the non-DFP group and 1/20 (5.0%) in the DFP group, this difference being significant (P = 0.023). Two patients were excluded because of failure to complete the DFP. The delirium-free protocol (DFP) group was given an intramuscular injection of diazepam at 20:00 h each night, as well as a continuous intravenous infusion of flunitrazepam and pethidine administered over 8 h, for the first three nights postoperatively. Since disorders of the sleep-wake cycle have been reported to be one of the key factors in POD, we attempted to clarify the effectiveness of improving sleep-wake cycle disorders with medication after surgery to prevent POD, by conducting a prospective randomized study of 42 elderly patients who underwent resection of either gastric or colon cancer through an open laparotomy. Postoperative delirium (POD) is known to be one of the most critical complications of major operative procedures in elderly patients. ![]() ![]() Like its predecessor, the book has also been translated in more than 30 languages. ![]() Torment debuted at #1 on the New York Times Bestseller List, remaining at that position through the week of October 17, 2010. ![]() Book Genre: Angels, Fantasy, Paranormal, Romance, Young Adult.
